Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic go into battle for a place in the Shanghai Masters Final in what should be a thrilling encounter.

It's a re-match of last month's epic clash in the US Open semi-finals, a match regarded as the best of the tournament. Djokovic eventually clinched it 7-5 in the third to end Federer's streak of six successive US Open finals.

To make things even more enticing this time round, both men have been in supreme form on the indoor hard of Shanghai, making the last four without dropping a set. Federer blitzed Robin Soderling 6-1, 6-1 in under an hour in the quarters while Djokovic destroyed Richard Gasquet by the same scoreline in the quarters.

Unsurprisingly both players are expecting a tough match with plenty of lung-busting rallies, something Federer didn't have too much of against the erratic Soderling.

"Tomorrow is going to be different, more difficult, a bit more tactical," the Swiss said. "We've always had good matches against each other, especially on the hard courts. They've always been very even."

Federer leads the head-to-head 10-6 but Djokovic did gain a huge amount of confidence from that victory in New York and has been a different player ever since. Our feeling is that it will be close but for Federer to sneak a three set win.
