The Spurs have enjoyed a fantastic last 15 months, finishing in the top four and then managing to qualify for the Champions’ League group stages. Manager Harry Redknapp will be confident his side can overcome Arsenal in this one, but he will be concerned with the lack of fire power upfront as Jermaine Defoe is sidelined with a long-term injury.

Arsenal will in all probability field a young side as manager Arsene Wenger has been doing over the years. With the Gunners off to an excellent start in the Premiership as well as in the Champions league, fans will hope that their six-year trophy drought will finally come to an end.
