The Basel Indoor Championships will reach it’s climax on Sunday with an eagerly anticipated showdown between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Federer has won this tournament three times already, but was beaten in last year’s final by Djokovic. Federer will no doubt strive to reclaim his title in front of the home crowd.



Federer has won twenty-three of his last twenty-four matches at this competition, whilst Djokovic has a perfect record so far with nine wins and no losses. The two players entered this competition as the top two seeds, and this match should provide the perfect ending to the competition.

Federer leads the head-to-head between the two players by 11-6 going into this match, though the pairing are 4-4 since the beginning of 2009. Federer is looking to win his fourth ATP World Tour title of the year this week, whilst Djokovic is currently searching for his third tournament success of the season.

This match should be a real crowd pleaser, and it will be intriguing to see yet another ATP World Tour competition final between these two players.
